Keep Council Tax Under Control
The City Council's Band D charge went up again for 2026/27. We will oppose above-inflation rises and demand savings are found in back-office spending first, not in services.
Back Chelmsford's High Street
Lower costs for local businesses, fairer town centre and village parking, and real action with Essex Police on shoplifting and anti-social behaviour in the city centre.
Stop Overdevelopment
Chelmsford has absorbed enormous housebuilding at Beaulieu Park, Channels and beyond. We will defend village boundaries, green wedges and the character of Danbury, Writtle, Boreham, Great Baddow and the Hanningfields.
Defend Local Democracy
Chelmsford City Council is set to be abolished in 2028 under local government reorganisation. Residents deserve a real say in what replaces it — not a deal stitched up between County Hall and Whitehall.

Chelmsford is a city that works hard and pays its way — and residents across our 24 wards are entitled to ask what they are getting back for it.
Reform UK now has two elected voices on Chelmsford City Council: Cllr Jacob Armstrong in Little Baddow, Danbury and Sandon, and Cllr Paul Clark in Rettendon and Runwell. They are there to ask the questions that have gone unasked for years — about spending, about development, and about what happens to this city when the council is abolished in 2028.
